How to get extensions in Google Chrome.

The one thing that I love about Firefox is the huge list of plug-ins it has and the one thing that I don’t like about Google Chrome is the lack of plug-ins but there is a way that you can get plug-ins/extensions in Google Chrome which makes it better.
If you’ve downloaded and installed Chrome then you are most likely using the “stable” version and to install extensions, you need to be using the “dev version”. So, how can you change this? It’s quite easy really, first you’ll want to download the Google Chrome channel changer from here. When you have done this and you open it, you’ll see three options, the stable option, beta option and the dev option, you’ll want to tick the dev option. When you’re done go ahead and close this program. Now, in Google Chrome, click on the settings button (the spanner icon) and click on about Google Chrome.
After a few seconds, you should get a pop-up saying to close all Google Chrome windows and restart the program so go ahead and close all the windows and relaunch Chrome. When you have, you’ll notice that nothing has changed at all apart from the fact that you can now install extensions and here are two that I recommend.
The first one is for delicious bookmarks users, this will install a little icon within Chrome for you to easily access your bookmarks in delicious, go ahead and install it from here.
The next one is a very simple tool which lets you refresh all open tabs in the window instead of having to refresh them one by one, you can install it from here.
If you were able to install at least one of those, then you have done what this post tells you to, if you got a permissions error then you’re not on the dev channel of Chrome. Try doing all the steps again and see if that works, if all else fails, then get in contact with me and I’ll try to help!
